Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo President at Holy Angel University
Dr. Luis María R. Calingo is the president of Holy Angel University, a Catholic school founded in 1933 and the largest private higher education institution in Central Luzon. A director of the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2018, he has been a member of the Board of Examiners for the US Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award since 1997 and recently completed his service on the Philippine National Referencing Committee for the ASEAN Qualifications Reference Framework.
In 2015, Dr. Calingo returned to the Philippines after 35 years of progressively responsible higher education experience in the United States—from strategy professor (1983) to business school dean (1992) to university provost (2009) and president (2012—the second of Filipino descent). Dr. Maria Teresita Macanas Semana acquired more than 30 years of experience in the academe, industry and government where she was exposed in various functions of technical, services, administration and management. Her first entry to the government service was with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as the first Division Chief of the Management Information System coming from the private sector in 1997.
She transferred to the DTI-Board of Investments as Director of the Technology Management Department in 2003 and served as Director of the Administrative and Finance Group of the Presidential Communication Development and Strategic Planning Office (PCDSPO) in 2010 that paved her way back to CHED in 2012 as Director III of the Office of Planning, Research and Knowledge Management (OPRKM) and the designated Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in-charge of the Knowledge Management Division (KMD). On 17 February 2020, Dr. Semana was designated as OIC Director IV of the CHED Regional Office III as her first regional assignment. Dr. Caroline Marian S. Dr. Caroline Marian Santos Enriquez is currently the President of Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) and the Vice Chairperson of Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Philippines. COCOPEA is the unified voice of private education in the Philippines that espouses nation building through quality education, promotion of private education advocacies and complementarity between private and public educational sectors, among others. It is the umbrella organization of the educational institutions of the Philippines composed of PACU, Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities (ACSCU), Philippine Association of Private Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAPSCU), and Tech-Voc Schools Association of the Philippines (TVSA).
